You should note that an existing company that is considering not having a secretary will first have to review its Articles of Association and the company will not simply be able to dispense with this requirement until the Articles of Association have been amended.  A company secretary who is an individual no longer has to give his or her private residential address and now the company's registered office can be given instead.
